Dalaman Airport sits between Marmaris to the west and Kaş to the east, and it is the closest airport to Fethiye. Most resorts are within an hour; far-off places such as Kaş and Bodrum take two to three hours.

Bus
There are buses from the airport towards Fethiye and Marmaris. They are cheap, but the times do not always match your flight, and they drop you in the town centre, so you still need to get to your hotel. For Ölüdeniz you change to a dolmuş in Fethiye.
Taxi
Taxis wait outside the terminal. Handy for nearby places such as Göcek and Dalyan; for Marmaris, Kaş or Bodrum, agree the price before you set off.
Private transfer
Your driver waits at the international arrivals exit with your name and takes you straight to your hotel. The price is per vehicle and fixed when you book, with no waiting charge if your flight is delayed. The easiest choice for late-night flights and families.

Good to know on the road
- The road to Marmaris crosses the mountains with many bends; if you get carsick, take the front seat.
- The road to Kaş follows the coast; on daytime arrivals a stop at a viewpoint is worth it.
- On summer Saturdays the airport is very busy and baggage can take a while; your driver waits.
